The Residential Energy Services Network, or RESNET, is the creator and administrator of the Home Energy Rating System (HERS) and the HERS Index score. The HERS Index serves as a useful way to grade a home's overall level of energy efficiency. A RESNET-certified Home Energy Rater is needed to perform a HERS Rating for a new or existing home
